ABOUT AFTER THE BELL
After the Bell was founded in 2008 by Kelly De Young, and is now overseen by Program Director, Serena Beckman. ATB's mission is to partner with schools to stand in the gap to meet the needs of kids in our community.

Every day ATB strives to meet kids needs in many ways. Each day starts off with a snack once the students have been escorted over from Sunburst Elementary School. Children with food allergies or dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
Following snack, Children begin their homework right away. After the Bell enforces this policy for two reasons. The first being to provide the children homework help with our interns and staff members, and the second is to maximize the amount of quality time the children can spend with their families at home.

After the Bell also provides a variety of daily activities for the children to participate in. These activities include Baking, Dance, Basic Gymnastics, Sports, Rec Games, Arts & Crafts, Lego Building, and much more. The activities are chosen based on student interests and the abilities of our interns, staff, and volunteers.
